Workers Receive OT Pay for Combined Hours at Different Sites
January 17, 2006 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - The owners of
13 California residential care facilities have paid $637,000
in back overtime pay to more than 200 health care workers
after an investigation by the Department of Labor's Wage and
Hour Division.
Reported by Rebecca Moore
HR.BLR.com reports that the facilities failed to pay overtime between December 2002 and July 2005 to employees who worked more than 40 hours in a week at two or more different sites.
In addition to paying the owed overtime wages, the facilities now have measures in place to ensure that hours worked at multiple facilities are combined for overtime pay.
